The Arizona State Board can recognize a school of massage therapy located in this state, if it is approved by the State Board for Private Postsecondary Education, and is nationally accredited to offer massage therapy education by an agency recognized by the Secretary of the United States Department of Education, or is a joint technical education district program that is offered by a joint technical education district as defined by section A.R.S.15-391.
The Board recognizes a school of massage therapy located in another state or a Canadian province if it is accredited or approved by an agency similar to the state board for private postsecondary education or it is accredited to offer massage therapy education by an agency recognized by the Secretary of the United States Department of Education.
Each school of massage therapy that is located in this state, and that receives approval from the State Board for Private Postsecondary Education, shall report to the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy:
1. The physical address of the school and each instructional facility maintained or operated by the school.
2. All faculty and instructional staff, and all additions to or deletions from the faculty and staff.
If the applicant's school is no longer operational and he/she is arranging for the school to submit transcripts, to the Board, for consideration, then the applicant may need to contact the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education at 602.542.5709 or visit their website to obtain copies of transcripts. If the Applicant's school is located out-of-state, then he/she will need to contact the repository of records in the state in which the school was located.
